Psychotherapy

My therapeutic approach draws from several therapeutic modalities, including, but not limited to, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). These modalities, along with psychoeducation, weaved into therapy allows me a wide range of resources to support my clients.

For my younger clients, I also incorporate art/play therapy techniques and animal assisted therapy (AAT) with my English Bulldog, Rose.  This is extremely helpful for those struggling with anxiety and depression or working on social skills.  Additionally, with their attention on Rose during therapy and not solely on themselves, clients feel less anxious and more relaxed in our work together.

Some of the more common issues I help my clients with include anxiety, depression, adhd, challenging relationships, social skills, low self-esteem, perfectionism, difficult family dynamics, social anxiety and life transitions.
